How can I prevent razor burn on my neck?

I've been using an electric razor on my neck to prevent razor burn, but it leaves stubble and ingrown hair. Last time I used a razor and cream [which gives the closest shave] I had razor burn for two weeks. It itched and looked bad. Any suggestions for a close shave without razor burn? Thank you.|||Exfoliate before shaving.

Thats what we do before shaving our bikini line,

so it would go with your more sensitive areas too.

Such as your neck.

Also, changing or cleaning the blade regularly helps,

and to get a smooth shave, go one away: against, like normal.

And then go with your hair, to make sure.

Hope that helps!(:|||gel is more softening then cream and you need to clean your shavers head and blades .don't know what you use but we can takes ours off and separate them ,after every shave we let them soak in rubbing alcohol really cleans them .and when you shave your neck area shave upwards not down.also after you shave or before you shave you can use the trimmer on your razor to trim the hair before you shave or after and then use a good balm to help with the razor burns when you get them it also sounds like you are pressing too hard on your razor.loosen up and go over the area two times first down then up on face first up then down on neck area
